South Bend’s having a Birthday?—Yep, we have an app for that!

With over 50 food vendors, 60 musical acts, Headliner Ben Folds, dozens of art exhibits and booths, things to do for the kids, a Tech park, and even a Zip line, South Bend’s birthday celebration over the Memorial Day weekend in downtown South Bend will be one of the biggest and most exciting community events ever held. How do you find out what’s going on?

With the SB150 Birthday app! Available in both the ITunes and Google Play stores, this free app is filled with all the dates, times, locations, and descriptions of the event and much more! Those planning on attending the weekend event are encouraged to download the app, and plan their weekend. Developed by Force 5, the South Bend based brand development and marketing communication agency, and a sponsor of the Birthday weekend, the app is immediately available by logging on to iTunes or Google Play and searching for SB150.

A desktop version is also available at “celebration.sb150.com”. Visitors can also go to the www.sb150.com web site for direct links for downloading the app.  You can download the app from iTunes at http://apple.co/1Ea1v02  and Android users can download the app at:  http://bit.ly/1JrLGph .

We are very pleased to have partnered with DTSB and the City to develop this app,” said Deb DeFreeuw, President of Force 5. “We love our city and look forward to a wonderful weekend of celebration.” “We love the app”, said Aaron Perri, Executive Director of DTSB. “As more and more events, vendors, and activities are added to this great weekend, the SB150 Birthday App will keep everyone up to date. The app also includes instant notifications from our twitter account, so we can let visitors know of important activities right away.”
